HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) — The state Medical Examining Board has suspended the license of a doctor charged with inappropriately touching patients during exams at a Clinton community health center.
The board will hold another hearing later to allow Dr. Tory Westbrook to argue against a suspension.
The 43-year-old Glastonbury resident was charged earlier this month with multiple counts of second-degree sexual assault involving three alleged victims, and police say at least three more alleged victims have come forward.
Westbrook denies all the charges. His lawyer, Norm Pattis, criticized the board for going forward with the hearing Tuesday despite his request to postpone it because of a scheduling conflict.
Westbrook resigned from Clinton's Community Health Center in February. He's currently on administrative leave from his job as medical director of Charter Oak Health Center in Hartford.
