Haddam, Conn. (WTNH) - Haddam Killingworth High School was evacuated after a student found a bomb threat scrawled on a bathroom wall.
School typically ends at 2:10 p.m. and since the threat was discovered around 1:30, students were sent home.
Police say there will be a criminal investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Haddam Police at 860-345-2769.
According to the school's website , there are about 680 students in grades 9-12 at the school.
Haddam also experienced another bomb scare on Beaver Road where the Haddam Public Works Department found what appeared to be a pipe bomb while they were cleaning the storm drains. The device was about ten inches long.
The Connecticut State Police Bomb Squad arrived on the scene and disposed of the device.
