Hikers fall 150 ft. from cliff

MIDDLEFIELD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Two hikers were taken to the ER after falling from a cliff in Middlefield Friday night.

Police said Linda Klapatch, 25, and Conner Mullen, 28, both of Wethersfield, were hiking trails located on a mountain in the Lake Beseck area at the time of the incident.

Both Klapatch and Mullen slipped and fell approximately 150 feet down a cliff.

EMS and fire personnel responded to the scene just before 10:30 p.m.

Both hikers were flown via Lifestar to Hartford Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Klapatch is listed in fair condition. Mullen is in serious condition.
