MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- With Friday's expected blizzard many are rushing to find hotel rooms. Whether they have to be at work or they want to stay closer to work, hotels have been busy.
Front desk employees have phones attached to their ears. They're seeing cancellations and new bookings. News 8 found one of their youngest customers in the lobby.
"2 and 5 months," said Lorelei Ealy from Macomb, Illinois.
The Ealy's have a 9 a.m. flight back home tomorrow.
"Hopefully that'll be before the storm gets here, with luck," said Clifton Ealy.
General Manager at the Inn at Middletown says while they've had several cancellations, others are booking rooms. They expect to be full by the end of today.
"Once the storm comes there's not going to be a lot of movement so they want to be safe," said GM Gary Nagler.
If he's got a full house, he needs a full staff.
"We want to make sure once our staff is in house, they're taken care off and we don't want them going out into the element once the storm really gets bad," said Nagler.
The Ealy's are hoping they're gone before that happens.
"We may find our visit here extended which you know, worse things could happen," said Clifton Ealy.
