MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Meriden man died after his jet ski collided with a boat on the Connecticut River in Middletown Sunday evening.
Police said Christopher Schoen-Kiewert, 34, died Monday, as a result of injuries sustained when his jet ski collided with a 33' pleasure boat operated by Jonathan C. Keene, 28, of Manchester.
Kiewert was taken by Lifestar to Hartford Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Danielle Tardif, 31, of Meriden, was a passenger on the jet ski at the time of the collision. She was taken to Hartford Hospital with minor injuries and was later released.
The accident remains under investigation by Connecticut Environmental Conservation (EnCon) police.
