East Hampton, Conn. (WTNH) -- The owner of the burned out Bevin Brothers bell factory hopes to have workers back on the job soon.

Matt Bevin told the Middletown Press he already has a new site and hopes to reopen by late summer.

A fire more than a week ago destroyed the 130 year old Bevin bell factory. It's suspected a lightning strike caused the fire.

The Press also reports the town council will meet this week to see what, if anything, it should do to help Bevin Brothers get back in business.

In the meantime, the 19 employees can apply for unemployment benefits.
