OSFD collects 2,200 lbs.of food

Old Saybrook (WTNH) - Old Saybrook Fire Department collected over 2,200 pounds of food for a local food pantry Saturday.

The food will go to Shoreline Soup Kitchen & Pantries.

The local Junior Girl Scouts also helped out during the collection.

The event was part of Gov. M Jodi Rell's 2009 Day of Caring and Compassion .
