MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A foul odor forced Middletown High School to evacuate Wednesday morning, officials said.
When a foul odor was reported earlier in the morning, the school was evacuated for precautionary reasons. Initial fears were that there may have been a gas leak.
A Commanding Officer who responded to the scene says that a faulty Bunsen burner was the cause of the stench.
Students have been allowed to go back into the school.
