Person struck by police cruiser in Middletown

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A pedestrian was struck by a police cruiser in Middletown and taken to the hospital early Friday morning.

The person was struck near Washington St./Route 66 and Newfield St. around 5 a.m. That is next to the Wesleyan University campus.

The person was taken to Middlesex Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Middletown police are investigating, but no further information was available.
