Police search for missing Haddam man

Haddam, CT (WTNH) - Update: Police say Hall was found in New Haven and is safe.


Police are asking for help in the search for a man reported missing earlier today.

Police said that Tyrone Hall, of 1480 Saybrook Rd., in Haddam, was reported missing at around 1:30 p.m.  After searching the residence and surrounding area they were unable to find him.

K-9 teams searched the area as well, with the assistance of bloodhounds from the State Police Kennel, but were also unsuccessful.

Hall was last seen at approximately 8 a.m. this morning, Sept. 20, at which time he received his daily medications. Hall is a diabetic, who has mild mental retardation. He is deaf and cannot talk. Police said he requires medication immediately and may be headed toward New Haven.

Police described him as a 53-year-old black male, 5'4" and 188 lbs., with a receding hairline. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, grey sweatpants, black sneakers and a black hat.

A Silver Alert has been issued.

Anyone who may have seen Hall is asked to contact State Police Troop F in Westbrook at 860-399-2100.
