Haddam, Conn. (WTNH) - Two people were hospitalized after crashing into a tree and then a utility pole on Saturday.
The accident occurred around 6 a.m., on Beaver Meadow Road, in Haddam.
State Police said Devin M. Gannon, 27, of 3 Parker Hill Rd., Higganum, was traveling southbound on Beaver Meadow Road in a 1992 Jeep Wrangler. Gannon lost control of the vehicle, traveling into the northbound lane, striking a tree, then striking a utility pole, snapping the pole in half.
The Jeep came to rest on the driver's side.
Lifestar flew Gannon to Hartford Hospital, while the passenger, Johnathon Linko, 28, of 221 Town St., East Haddam, was taken to Hartford Hospital by ambulance.
Police said injuries appear to be minor.
The Jeep was totaled in the crash.
