MIDDLETOWN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Public Works crews were working to fix a water main break in downtown Middletown Thursday morning.
Court Street between Main Street and Broad was closed after a 2" valve near a connecting main to the Old Polish Falcon's Building broke.
The break spewed 250,000 gallons of water out of the main.
Six businesses were impacted, including a coffee shop, a hair salon and a church.
The break was reported around 1:30 a.m. Service was restored by 9:30 a.m. and repairs were completed around 12:30 p.m.
Drivers were advised to avoid the area while crews were on the scene.
