Cromwell, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are trying to locate a woman who failed to collect her boxer from Animal Control.

On February 24, a Sharon Animal Control officer contacted Cromwell police after failing to get in touch with Carmen Kotula, 52, concerning her boxer.

Officers determined that Kotula told her neighbor on Feb. 21 that she was leaving for Minnesota to find a new job and place to live, but didn't say when the move would happen.

Kotula's car was found on River Road in Kent, near the Appalachian Trail on Feb. 27. Police say they weren't able to find any trace of her.

Police say she also has a chocolate lab who is missing.

She is described as a white female, approximately 5'8" and weighing 230 lbs.

Police in Cromwell are asking anyone with information to call them at 203-635-2256.
