MILFORD, Conn. (AP) - Milford officials have agreed to a $2.5 million settlement with the family of one of two teenagers killed in a police cruiser crash in 2009.

Probate court documents filed Wednesday show the town agreed to settle state and federal lawsuits filed by the estate of David Servin. The deal has to be approved by the probate court.

Authorities say Servin and Ashlie Krakowski, who were both 19 and lived in Orange, died when their car was struck by a police cruiser going 94 mph on Route 1 in Orange.

The officer driving the cruiser, Jason Anderson, was returning from a mutual aid call and didn't have his emergency lights or siren on. He was fired and awaits trial on manslaughter charges.

Krawkowski's family is also suing the town.
