WATERBURY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Waterbury residents are being asked to call 911 from their cell phones if they are involved in an emergency between 12:01 and 12:15 a.m. Saturday morning.

During those 15 minutes, AT&T will be conducting scheduled maintenance.

Residents won't be able to call 911 from landline phones for about 2-4 minutes. However, 911 can still be reached if you call on your cell phone.

The Waterbury Police Department has taken precautions to ensure that the outage has a minimal impact on residents.
