NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- It's a popular event in New Haven: the Friends of Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital is holding its annual Golf and Tennis Tournament.
This is the 21st year for the benefit, which has raised thousands of dollars for programs benefiting the young patients and their families.
"Most recently we funded MRI goggles for the children and they are goggles that kids put on and they actually watch videos while they are in an MRI," said Debora McCauley, Friends of Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital, "and helps them to stay relaxed and actually reduce the amount of sedations used in the program."
Friends of Yale-New Haven Children's Hospital is made up of dedicated volunteers, supporting clinical care, education and outreach for pediatric patients and their families.
