Crash on Route 8 caused by wrong-way driver

Waterbury, Conn. (WTNH) - A wrong-way driver caused a three car crash on Route 8 in Waterbury Sunday night, state police said.

The crash happened around 10:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes just south of Exit 35.

State police said no one was seriously injured in the crash.

The road was closed until around 1:00 a.m.

Police are still investigating the crash, and so far no injuries have been reported.
