Helping our homeless veterans

Published : Wednesday, 11 Nov 2009, 9:47 AM EST

(WTNH) - There are 3,000 homeless veterans in Connecticut.

It is Veteran's Day and what better way to support the troops than by contributing to a new shelter that will help homeless veterans transition to civilian life.

It's called The Homefront and it's where Iraq and Afghanistan veterans will be able to go for shelter and support.

The Homefront hopes to open in January, but they still need to raise $110,000. If you would like to help, please consider telling a friend, holding a fundraiser or making a contribution right now.
