WALLINGFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Wallingford salon is hoping to raise some money and help the family of a little boy fighting leukemia.
Serenity Salon & Day Spa held its annual cut-a-thon Sunday. This year the money will go to the family of three-year-old Ryan Mount, who was diagnosed with Leukemia last summer.
Co-owner Theresa Cipriani, whose husband survived leukemia as a child, says the money will help the family with medical bills, food, and any other expenses they may have.
"Ryan was a little upset he lost his hair," Cipriani said, "so maybe for a little toy for him or something that they want to buy him to make feel better. Just anything."
Cipriani is hoping to raise $2,000 for Ryan's family. One group of women came in with a five hundred dollar donation.
Workers are donating their time and tips.
