NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) - Authorities are investigating the death of a man whose body may have been in the Mill River for more than a week before it was discovered over the weekend in New Haven.
Police spokesman David Hartman says a park ranger spotted the body in water behind Wilbur Cross High School shortly before noon Saturday. Police divers later recovered the body.
Hartman says investigators have not fully identified the man.
An initial investigation shows that the man was between 20 and 30 years at the time of death.
A medical examiner is expected to conduct an autopsy Sunday to formally determine the manner and cause of death.
