DERBY, Conn. (WTNH) -- Students in Derby will lose part of their April vacation and face a longer school year because of Hurricane Sandy and the Blizzard of 2013.
Students were supposed to have the entire week off from April 15th to 19th.
However, the New Haven Register reports, that the Board of Education has voted unanimously in favor of holding classes on the 15th and 16th.
To make up the rest of those lost days students will now be in class until June 21st, instead of June 12th.
