NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Some very brave souls spent their New Year's day taking a dip.
About two dozen people jumped into the chilly water at New Haven's Lighthouse Park Tuesday afternoon for the 13th annual polar plunge.
This year's event was scaled down. Usually they serve breakfast and have hot tubs inside the Carousel building, but it was damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
So Tuesday, it was all about the plunge.
The money raised goes to the New Haven Land Trust, and is put back into community gardens and parks in the Elm City.
Take a look at some of the Report It photos we received in November, 2012.
