Dryer blamed for apartment fire

ANSONIA, Conn. (WTNH) -- An overheated dryer is to blame for a fire an an apartment complex in Ansonia.

The fire broke out at the Beaver Brook apartments on Woodbridge Avenue around 9:00 o'clock Monday night. A Report It photo from Jason showed flames shooting out a window of the building.

The fire marshal told News 8 the fire started in an over-heated dryer in the basement of one unit. From there the fire spread to two other units at the complex.

There were no serious injuries.
