Eight assisted after New Haven fire

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A fire at an apartment building for seniors in New Haven is under investigation.

Investigators tell News 8 it looks like the fire started in an air conditioning unit at the building on Derby Avenue around 10 o'clock Tuesday night.

One person was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.

According to the Red Cross, a total of eight people are being given temporary housing
