NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- With so many festive events happening outdoors this time of year it can be easy to get caught up in all the fun, and forget about the dangerous nature of this heat.
News 8 stopped by the kick-off of the Saint Andrew Festival in Wooster Square in New Haven Thursday evening.

The festival takes places every year and is a four-day event.
Organizers said they look forward to seeing many familiar faces.
"Whatever it brings it brings, we're going to open no matter what," said Anthony Abbagnano, festival co-chair.
"Everybody just loves to come," said Teresa Argento, festival co-chair, "and the nicest thing is they see old friends and they socialize, and it's just a beautiful thing."
