NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters responded to the scene of a fire at a business in New Haven late Thursday morning.
The fire broke out at Campbell Auto Center, located at 20 Orange Ave.
Multiple men told News 8 they are lucky to be alive after one of the cars they were working on caught fire.
One employee said he was working on another car when the fire broke out.
"I was changing the oil on a car, and I looked to my left and side, and all I saw was a big explosion, a ball of fire and cloud of smoke," the employee said. "And my co-workers were working on another car in bay 3...and all we seen was everybody come out running, started running, panicked."
Everyone was able to get out safely.
