MADISON, Conn. (WTNH) -- Drivers might have noticed some relief the last time they filled up their tank, but the questions remains, will this trend continue, and is the price drop enough for people to change their travel plans?

Sarah Lingenheld of New Haven is a busy commuting mom. She says saving pennies at the pump matters, but the savings aren't enough to hit the road this summer.

"We didn't really have a big vacation planned this summer anyway, so probably not a big difference for us," she said.

Gas prices didn't seem to matter to folks finishing up their holiday at Hammonasset State Park in Madison.

"We will be spending like three weeks here and then we'll head out in August and won't be out in October," said Henna Mastrobuono from New York.

"So have camper will travel?"

"Oh, absolutely," she replied. "This is our vacation."

Average gasoline prices in Connecticut have fallen nearly four cents a gallon over the last week, but visitors still think it's too much.

The Grimes from Big Canoe, Georgia have been logging the cost to fill their RV and their calculations show Connecticut has cost them.

"Each state maybe a little more consecutively from Georgia to Connecticut, and we paid $3.75 yesterday in Connecticut," Debbie Grimes said. "That's the most expensive."

So the prices are coming down, but just how much could depend on where in the state you are buying your gasoline.

Looks like the cost of gasoline is part of the budget to be on the go.
