New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - Many Connecticut Giant's fans headed to the Canyon of Heroes in New York to celebrate their team's big Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.

Fans know the best way to get to the Giants ticker tape parade is to take the train. Metro North even added trains to handle the crowds, and lots of people are taking advantage of them.

The party started in the early morning hours with the parade of Giants jerseys headed to the trains in New Haven.

"Great time to be a Giants fan and we got to beat the New England Patriots," said Jerry Wanzer. "How much better does it get than that?"

Maybe the only way it gets better is seeing the Giants ticker tape parade with your son.

"I wanna go see the floats and stuff and I'm really excited that they beat the Patriots in the Super Bowl," said little Jason Pease.

"I'm so proud of the team for where they came from this year," said Jason's dad Ross Pease. "As much as they struggled, they got it together the last few games of the year."

Now it's time to head to the Giants' second victory parade in four years. Metro North added extra trains on all lines heading to and from the parade

On the 8:06 a.m. to Grand Central, it was wall to wall Giants fans, of course that's nothing compared to the crowd at the actual parade. Matt Annito was there 4 years ago.

"Unbelievable amount of people there," he recalled. "I'd never been to a ticker tape parade before, but it was fantastic."

Just like then, on Tuesday he had to crane his neck with hundreds of thousands of fellow fans lining the mile-long route through lower Manhattan just to catch a glimpse of their favorite players through all the confetti. However the important thing was just to be there to celebrate with everyone else.
