NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Hamden man was pronounced dead after his motorcycle collided with an SUV in New Haven Monday.
The accident happened just before 2 p.m., at the intersection of Kimberly Ave. and First St.
According to witnesses, 31-year-old Howard Lee Jones II was sent off his motorcycle and over the hood of the SUV during the crash.
Officials said Jones was riding a 2010 Kawasaki ZX1000. He was wearing a helmet, gloves, and other appropriate riding gear.
Jones was in traumatic cardiac arrest at the scene and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The operator of the SUV, a 2003 Volvo XC90, was identified as 34-year-old Cheshire resident Adrienne De Barros.
Police have yet to determine who was at fault.
The incident remains under investigation.
