Firefighters say they responded to a structure fire at 79 North Street, around 10 PM.

No occupants were were inside at the time.

Fire crews stretched an attack line to the second floor, to extinguish the heavy fire. Back up lines were also stretched into the home to protect the stairwell egress, as well as to extinguish the fire in the attic, firefighters said.

The American Red Cross helped the occupants of the home obtain shelter at a local hotel.
