DNA tests have prompted a Connecticut judge to drop charges against a teenager accused of committing a home invasion in West Haven.
Fabien Robinson, 19, of New Haven, was released from jail Wednesday after being held for about six months. Prosecutors say he was placed back on probation in connection with an unrelated robbery.
West Haven police had charged Robinson with robbery and other crimes.
Authorities say a masked man with a gun broke into a home on Second Avenue on Feb. 2. Police say one of three women inside fended him off with a baseball bat, but he made off with their wallets and cell phones. The attacker left behind his gun, mask and shirt, which were tested for DNA.
A woman at Robinson's last known address says he doesn't live there anymore.
