Home uninhabitable after Milford fire

MILFORD, Conn. (WTNH) -- Firefighters battled a garage fire in Milford Thursday.

According to the Fire Department, crews were called to 39 Tippey Road for a reported garage fire that was extending into the first floor family room, with two cars in the garage.

Upon arrival, the garage was fully involved.

The home sustained heavy heat damage and is uninhabitable.

Both cars in the garage were destroyed.

No injuries were reported.

The fire remains under investigation.
