OXFORD, Conn, (WTNH) -- A drowning man was pulled from Swan Lake in Oxford on Saturday, but he did not survive the incident.

Police say that a call came in around 1:30 p.m. Saturday to report a drowning. Two residents near the lake pulled the man out of the water and began CPR.

Fire and EMS crews rushed the man to Griffin Hospital. He was pronounced dead on arrival.

DEEP and State Police Department officials are in charge of the investigation.

The mother of the victim told News 8 that he suffered a seizure and had epilepsy.
