Man killed in North Haven workplace accident

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was killed in a workplace accident at a North Haven metal recycling business Wednesday.

The incident occurred at Simms Metal Management, located at 234 Universal Dr.

Upon arrival, police said they discovered a man with what appeared to be crushing injuries to his chest and abdomen.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity has not yet been released.

Police are investigating the cause of his death.
