Man robbed and shot in West Haven

WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are looking for the suspect who shot and robbed a man on Monday night in West Haven.

According to police, the victim was walking on Spring Street towards Campbell Avenue just before midnight when he was confronted by a black male who pointed a dark colored handgun in his face.

The suspect demanded money, which the victim gave him.

After handing over the money, the victim was shot in the arm. He suffers from non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male about 5'11", 200 lbs. He has a dark skinned complexion, and he was wearing a half mask at the time of the robbery and shooting. He is believed to be in possession of a dark colored handgun, possibly a revolver.
