Ansonia, Conn. (WTNH) -- A man was taken to the hospital after being shot in Ansonia Wednesday night.

The shooting occurred in the area of Lester Street and Olson Drive.

According to police, the man was taken to the hospital in serious condition.

No additional details are available.

The incident is under investigation.
