Wallingford, Conn. (WTNH) - The Medical Examiner has ruled that the woman who was struck and killed by a train in Wallingford committed suicide.

On Monday, Train #470 traveling between New Haven and Springfield struck 43-year-old Lynn Patricia Bickford around 10:51 am. She was on the railroad tracks that run parallel to Old Colony Road in Yalesville, just south of the Meriden city line.

None of the train's 37 passengers were injured.

Investigators determined that she had been struck about one tenth of a mile south of the Meriden line.

Service was suspended in that area for a few hours while investigators were on the scene.
