MADISON, Conn. (WTNH) -- A message in a bottle washed up at Hammonasset Beach in Madison on Thursday.
In it was a note written by a Hartford girl. It was dated June 6, 2012, the one year anniversary of her mother's death.
The note talked about her mom, how she misses her, and how she hoped someone special would find it.
The park worker who wound up with it lives in Clinton and had lost his father last fall. He says the message meant a lot to him.
The note asked the finder to call her.
We'll do our best to keep you posted on what happens next.
