Metro-North fare price increases in New Haven

New Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - Commuters who take Metro North's New Haven line will see an increase in fare prices.
    
Effective January 1, tickets will cost riders 5% more.
     
The Department of Transportation approved the increase to help balance the state budget.
