Missing Waterbury man found in forest

BEACON FALLS, Conn. (WTNH) -- A missing 50-year-old Waterbury man has been found, police confirm.

Richard Roncarti was reported missing on Thursday, June 7. His family told police he left his mother's house in Waterbury and didn't tell anyone where he was headed.

Over the weekend Roncarti's car was found in the parking lot of the Naugatuck State Forest. Several extensive searches were conducted in order to find him.

Police say he was finally located around noon on Thursday in the Beacon Falls section of the state forest.

Roncarti was transported to Waterbury Hospital with minor injuries. He told authorities he fell while hiking.
