Naugatuck, Conn. (WTNH) - A Naugatuck police officer has been placed on paid administrative leave following a domestic disturbance incident earlier this week.
Naugatuck officer Thomas Grant was involved in a domestic disturbance with his live-in girlfriend on Jan. 23.
According to police reports, Grant struck his girlfriend on her lower leg and grabbed her hair. She also told police that he threatened her.
Grant was arrested on Jan. 25, and released on $25,000 bail.
He was charged with third degree assault, threatening and disorderly conduct.
Police say Grant was placed on paid administrative leave pending the outcome of an internal affairs investigation.
