Naugatuck firefighters rescue trapped people

NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- Six people are safe after firefighters rescued them from an apartment fire in Naugatuck.

It happened Sunday night at a complex on Terrace Avenue.

The six were trapped on the third floor. Five firefighters rushed in and were able to get the people out through a window and down a fire ladder.

One firefighter collapsed from exhaustion and another was treated for smoke inhalation, but both are okay.
