Seymour (WTNH) - A ruptured oil line sparked a fire at a Seymour factory.

It happened in the machine room at the JV Precision Machine Company on Cogwheel Lane.

Heavy smoke was pouring out of the building.

The factory was closed for the holiday and no one was inside.

"An oil fire can't be fought with water so we have to use, if there was still a fire going, we would've had to use dry chem extinguishers on it and that can become very challenging," Chief Scott Andrews, from the Seymour Fire Department, said.

Most of the damage was caused by heavy smoke.
