West Haven man dies in motorcycle crash

West Haven (WTNH) - West Haven Police are investigating a fatal accident that occurred on South Street near Hillside Avenue.

The motorcycle accident happened around 6:20 p.m. James Debowes, 42, of West Haven was taken by ambulance to Yale-New Haven Hospital. He did not appear to be wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The accident is still under investigation by the Major Accident Squad.
