NORTH HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- A local 13-year-old girl, who wrote her own novel, has recently had that book published.
Molly D'Andrea, 13, of North Haven Middle School, began writing a story earlier this year in February. The book, "Shattered Ones," was published in August and became available for distribution in September.
Molly spent much of her free time this year working on the book. She dedicated this summer to finishing the story and it was completed in early August.
Her dream is to someday walk into a book store and see her book on display. With the book now available online and soon to be made available other online book retailers, she is one step closer to that dream.
"I'm proud of what I do," Molly said, "and I really hope you like it a lot."
Story overview:
Douglas Williams lost his wife, Emily nearly eight years ago after the birth of his daughter; seven years ago, his daughter Coll was taken from him because he couldn't afford to raise her. But he promised his one year old daughter that he would find her and that he would set it right again.
