North Haven, Conn. (WTNH) - A local business owner is set to face off in front of a pool of sharks, business sharks, that is.
33-year-old Dave Greco, the North Haven business owner of The SalesPreneur , got a chance of a lifetime to pitch his company to the big wigs on ABC's Shark Tank.
"I always make my quota," said Greco. "I have won every award you can win."
In the show, a panel of venture capitalists will either eat apart the contestant's idea, want a piece of the business and will invest in it, or buy out the company completely.
Like a sales pro, Greco is predicting his upcoming Shark Tank smack down will be one of the highest rated shows for the hit series yet.
"With me, the ratings will be even higher," he joked.
The married father of two was chosen from 35,000 companies across the country to be on the show.
"It was scary, motivating," Greco said of the experience.
Thanks to buzz from the show, Greco says the calls and hits are coming in.
"Our web traffic has gone from 500 hits a day to now in the thousands, and we expect to have eight to 9,000 hits on Friday night during and after the show, so we're gearing up," he said.
The SalesPreneur was created by Greco in 2005.
The Sharks in Greco's episode of Shark Tank are Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary.
Watch for Greco on Shark Tank, airing on January 27 at 8/7c on ABC.
