Official: suspicious package at court

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- New Haven Superior Court received a suspicious package in the mail Monday, a court official said.

People were allowed to leave the courthouse, located at 121 Elm St., but no one was allowed to come in, the court official said.

Police responded to the scene and deemed it safe early Monday afternoon.
