WEST HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- UPDATE: Seventeen-year-old Kimberly Escarcega has been found safe.

Police in West Haven are asking for the public's help in finding a missing teenage girl.

Seventeen-year-old Kimberly Escarcega has been missing since late Tuesday, March 19th.

Kimberly is described as a Hispanic female, approximately 4'9" tall and 100 lbs, with dark hair and brown eyes.

Police believe she may be in the New Haven area.
