MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) - Police are in the early stages of an investigation surrounding the findings of a dead body in Meriden.
According to Detective Lt. Mark Walerysiak, the dead body was of a white man, in his late 40's. He was found unconscious by police, and pronounced dead on the scene.
The man suffered serious gun shot wounds to the chest. Police believe the gun shot wounds may have been self-inflicted.
The body was found in a two family home at 76 Olive Street around 1:30 a.m. The identity is not yet being released.
As of Friday afternoon, police were still investigating the scene.
