UPDATE: Police have made two arrests in connection to an assault on 8 Pond Street on Wednesday morning.
According to police, the arrests are related to the victim Saloman Martinez who was discovered outside the residence.
Martinez is in critical condition at Waterbury Hospital after falling from a fourth floor window.
Matthew Chandler, 20, and Kyle Gonzales, 20, were both charged for allegedly hitting Saloman before he fell.
Both were charged with first-degree assault and first-degree conspiracy to assault.
The incident is being investigated and further details will be released as they become available.
NAUGATUCK, Conn. (WTNH) -- A Stratford man is in critical condition after falling from a fourth floor window in Naugatuck Wednesday morning.
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m., at a residence located at 8 Pond Street. The residence is a multi-family home with four floors.
Upon arrival, officers located a 24-year-old man laying on the ground next to the residence with serious head and body injuries.
Police said the victim appeared to have fallen from a window on the fourth floor of the home to the sidewalk below.
The victim, Salomon Martinez , of Stratford, was taken to Waterbury Hospital and is listed in critical condition.
While investigating, police found that an assault occurred at an apartment within the residence involving a separate 24-year-old victim who sustained severe swelling to the left side of his face.
Twenty-year-old Kyle Gonzalez, of Naugatuck, was arrested in connection with the assault.
Police said the apartment where the assault occurred is the same apartment where Salmon appeared to have fallen from.
The incident remains under investigation.
